When choosing a gown here are a few tips to bear in mind:
Don’t cover up too much!
It is still important to be able to grip your pole where it is needed. For example, try to choose a dress that is sleeveless or short sleeved, and look for splits at the leg so you can get a good grip of the pole with your legs. A dress with a side split can normally be tied up at the side for when extra leg grip is needed.
Look for stretchy fabrics
You need the full range of motion of your shoulders and body when pole dancing, so the last thing you want is a restrictive fabric. Most pole dancing clothes come in stretchy lycra and spandex fabrics to allow free movement and ensure you don’t get tangled up!
Get ready to shine
This isn’t the time to fade into the background! Pole dancing gowns come in a whole range of bright colours, like neon pink and green. Or if you are looking for something a little more understated look for sparkling diamantes and silver trims to stand out.
